Here is what participants said about the 2025 edition of 3f
At first, I was hesitant to attend the 3f event due to my low expectations based on previous academic events, as I have observed a decline in quality since 2008 with an increasing regulatory focus. However, I found myself highly impressed by both the exceptional calibre of participants and the overall quality standard of presentations and panel discussions. The effective collaboration between academics and practitioners seems to have played a significant role in the event’s success.

The Future Finance Fest (3f) conference in Vilnius, Lithuania was a very special and unique event that brought together both academics and practitioners in the FinTech space. Given the rising importance of FinTech in both spheres, this conference served a really important role. From my academic background, I was able to gain valuable new ideas and feedback with regards to my paper on AI-driven trading and the non-pecuniary component of NFT pricing. In addition, I really enjoyed learning from domain experts ranging from the creator of the popular VIX volatility index to a cofounder of a department of defense (DoD) sanctioned startup focused on measuring stress and mental load via neural imaging.

Thank you very much for the impressive, excellent organization of the conference. The conference allowed highly effective interaction among attendees due to the layout of conference rooms and having adjacent “reception rooms” with coffee/deserts continuously available.

The inaugural edition of 3f was truly outstanding. I was impressed by the wealth of highly engaging content throughout the conference and the caliber of speakers you brought together – truly top-notch expertise across the board. What made the experience particularly special was the intimate, familial atmosphere that fostered so many interesting conversations and meaningful connections. It’s rare to find an event that combines high-level content with such a warm, accessible environment.

I have to say I was delighted to be here for this conference. I found that the meshing of academic researchers with practitioners was an incredibly productive and fruitful undertaking. There is an expression in English, “if a tree falls in a forest and nobody hears it, did it make a noise?” And this is the kind of conference, I think, that is well suited to overcome that question when it comes to development and application of new technologies.

Wow! It’s been a week since the Future Finance Fest, and I’m still unpacking and integrating all the ideas and insights I took away. This was truly one of the richest experiences I’ve had, both as a practitioner and as a researcher. Not every event that promises to bridge academia and industry delivers… but 3f did. It created a common ground where real, tangible, and addressable issues were explored, without ever losing scientific rigor and method.
